Ava Vidal is a woman who isn't likely to take things lying down. Although quite calm on the outside, there is a fire inside her that is ready to burst out, most likely on stage.

Ava, a teenage mum at 18, decided to turn her hand to stand up after being inspired by seeing Chris Rock.

She started her comedy career in 2003 becoming a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards and the Hackney Empire New Act competition (where she came third) within a year.

She continues to be a very hard working comedian, doing shows up and down the country.

With two children to look after, Ava Vidal does not have the time or the patience to put up with any rubbish thrown her way, be it from racists or teachers, who seem to fuel her ire more than anyone.

Ava will also use her teenage daughter, who must be traumatised, as a source of material. Her son won't get off lightly either, but after hearing what he searches for on the internet, he deserves what her gets.

Razor sharp, Ava is always ready to throw in that final line which you won't expect.

Ava might be best known for appearing on Channel 4's Kings Of Comedy in which comedians were thrown in a Big Brother style house together.

In another reality show, BBC 2's The Sack Race, she competed with another performer in order to see who get fired from a job as close to 3pm as possible.

She appeared in short lived BBC sitcom The Crouches and was also the subject of a Channel 4 documentary called From The Top which explained her journey in comedy.

Ava Vidal is a fearless comedian whose personal battles will always provide her with material to make an audience laugh.

She is nobody's fool and has the ability to reduce a grown man to tears and have him in stitches at the same sitting.
