An established stand-up and writer, Chris Addison is regarded as one of the most versatile comics on the circuit with his pacy, energetic routines and faultless delivery. His particularly polite brand of observational comedy may catch audiences off gurad as beneath this school boy approach lies a biting, sharp and very ascerbic performer, not afraid to go for the jugular.
Chris has enjoyed success as a live performer headlining at the most prestigious comedy clubs including the Comedy Store, the Stand and the Buzz Club. He has made a name for himself at The Edinburgh Festival with a slate of sold out solo shows that have been nominated for both the Perrier Best Newcomer Award, the Barry Humphries Comedy Award and in 2004 his show Civilization was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award.
Chris has also made international appearances at The Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Chris is also a respected writer with credits that include Harry Hill's TV Burp, TFI Friday, The Alphabet Show and has enjoyed critical acclaim as one third of Radio 4's comedy show The Department. Radio 4 also commissioned his own series, The Ape That Got Lucky, in 2005.
Most recently he wrote and starred in his own sitcom Lab Rats, shown on BBC 2 and also plays the junior minister in Armando Iannucci's award-winning political satire The Thick Of It and big screen outing In The Loop.
