Jeff Green is a true veteran of the comedy circuit, having been offering his insights and recounting experiences around the world for the last 22 years. In addition to that he's also been on stage making people laugh.

Born in Chester in 1964, Jeff started performing stand up in 1988 and a year later won he Comedy Store New Act of the Year, a competition which also included Eddie Izzard.

His first Edinburgh Festival, performing with Lee Evans, got no reviews but he got his own back in 1994 when he was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award.

Throughout the 90s and 2000s, Jeff has continued to tour the world to massive critical and public acclaim.

Having started in the politically correct Alternative Comedy scene of the late 80s, Jeff Green is regarded as the first modern UK comic to perform relationship material, looking at life with girlfriends and wives and the differences between men and women.

Since then he has entertained audiences with tales of bachelorhood and parenting.

Both men and women should pay attention when Jeff is talking as he will reveal secrets you thought there were no answers to, such as where women learn to put a towel on their heads, and how men stop you from changing the channel.

Jeff's television credentials are almost too long to list. He has had his own stand up shows broadcast from Her Majesty's Theatre in 1996, and from the Gielgud Theatre in both 1997 and 2003.

He has appeared on the Clive James Show, They Think It's All Over and Have I Got News For You on numerous occasions and also provided the voice over for Sky One's The Football Years in 2002.

His own radio show, The Green Guide To Life, was broadcast on Radio 2 in 2007.

Jeff has also had three books published to commercial and critical success; The A-Z Of Living Together, The A-Z Of Being Single and The A-Z Of Having A Baby.

Jeff Green truly is a master of stand up comedy. You can't go for this long without doing something right and Jeff does everything right.

If the old adage of 'it's funny because it's true' were to apply to anyone, it would be Jeff Green.

Did You Know?:

When he went into comedy, Jeff gave up a job selling gas to welders.

He has also sold sand to Egyptians and snow to Eskimos, although those jobs were short lived.
