Full Biography

Kevin Bridges has all the attributes you want from a Scottish comedian. Wry, laconic, humble and, thankfully, funny.

Although only a wee nipper at 23, Kevin has been performing for over 6 years having started his career at 17 in Glasgow, his home town.

At the age of 18 he reached the final of the legendary So You Think You're Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Fringe.

He has continued to perform relentlessly and in 2010 won the breakthrough award at the Chortle Awards.

Despite his youth, Kevin Bridges is not naïve. He will offer observations on how to talk to Scottish people in London, the targets of late night quiz shows and the thinking behind bad BNP graffiti, all delivered in his laid back style.

In fact, it is this confidence which makes Kevin so appealing, as he does this all without a hint of arrogance.

He has performed on a number of stand up shows on television, but the appearance on this very show lead to sell out shows culminating in a night at the 10,000 seat Glasgow SECC.

Kevin has also appeared on panel shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Mock The Week and acted in the return of Rab C. Nesbitt.

All signs point to Kevin Bridges' stand up career being a rich and fruitful one. He may not reach the heights of Billy Connolly but as Scottish comedians go he may go the way of Fred MacAuley and Frankie Boyle, and that's certainly better than being hailed as the next Jimmy Krankie.
