Full Biography
Rufus Hound is the proud owner of possibly the best moustache in show business as Wilf Lunn's doesn't count. He has a beard too. Rufus is also a fiery comedian who will stop at nothing to get his views across.
Rufus Hound, although you may not know it, is a stand up first, and TV presenter second. He cut his teeth back in 2002 when he was a finalist in the 'So You Think You're Funny' competition.
He caught the eye of many, including Rory Bremner who invited him along as the support for his 2005 Uncorked tour.
Rufus has taken his ideas and moustache to the small screen, airing his views on ITV's Thank God You're Here, Channel 4's Richard and Judy and Dave's Argumental, on which he is a team captain.
Rufuscomedy rally. He can fire up an audience with his views on Westlife and the mounting evidence that Popeye was gay. He can also take it down a level if needed and will give foolproof methods of how to stop strangers from starting conversations with you.
Whatever it is that Rufus feels passionate about, you will not be able to resist the points he puts across, case in point being the time he argued for naturism on Argumental and took off all his clothes, offering Marcus Brigstocke a game of badminton. All in the name of comedy.
Type Rufus Hound's name into Google and you will be bombarded with footage on photos of one thing; the time he got dressed up and danced like Cheryl Cole for Sport Relief. Rufus won the competition hands down with a flawless performance. It's nice to know there's something to fall back on.
Rufus' turns as a presenter have also given him a wide audience. He fronted the last ever Top Of The Pops and has presented the BBC's coverage of the Glastonbury and Reading Festivals.
He's had his own sitcom on CBBC entitled Hounded, where he plays a TV presenter who has to save the universe and is currently presenting Outtake TV on BBC1.
He can be heard on the most recent series of The Unbelievable Truth on Radio 4 and has a series of monologues on Dave called The Dave Digests.
In November 2011 Rufus released his debut stand up DVD 'Being Rude'.
