Imagine you've been living in a foreign country for most of your life and then suddenly you get dumped in the Midlands, and more specifically Wolverhampton. Now you know how Tom Stade feels. Confused.
Tom Stade was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Having most likely seen a bear or two in his time, Tom saw the lighter side of life and went into comedy.
He won accolades in his home country before coming over to England, helped due to his wife's parents being native Geordies.
Tom first settled in the Midlands 'because it was cheap' and now calls Edinburgh his home after getting rather a long lease during the Edinburgh Festival in 2006, at which he performed his first solo show ...And Relax.
There isn't a normal everyday activity that Tom won't see the funny side in, mind you that's everyday for the people of Bilston, not a man from west Canada.
But if life in the UK can seem dull, Tom will make the best of it even it means pretending he's a spy in Argos.
Tom will stretch out his stories, adding his own monologue to the events as they unfold, and have you laughing all the way to the climax, which won't disappoint.
Tom has had a number of screen appearances in his native Canada. He appeared in the critically acclaimed sitcom The Newsroom and the award winning feature My Own Private Oshawa.
He also hosted his own special Stade And Confused. Over here, he has appeared on every stand up show going, including The Comedy Store, The World Stands Up and The Live Floor Show, and he has also had a stint on Mock The Week.
Tom Stade is a charming comic whose warm persona and well delivered tales will make you think differently about life in UK, and other countries too, and see life far less seriously than you did before.
