Kim Cattrall Back on West End Stage

Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall is to return to stage acting in London's West End for the first time in four years.

British-born Cattrall, best known to all you lot for playing maneater Samantha Jones, will star in a new production of Noel Coward's 1930 comedy of manners Private Lives.

Kim will be starring alongside Matthew Macfadyen, who played Mr. Darcy in the 2005 film version of Pride and Prejudice.

The play will begin its preview run on February 10th 2010 at the Theatre Royal in Bath, running until February 20th. After this it will move to London from March 24th until May 1st.

Directed by Richard Eyre, the play follows characters Amanda and Elyot who have been divorced from each other for five years and who are both honeymooning with their new partners in the South of France.

When they accidentally discover they're sharing the same hotel their old feelings start to reappear and they hurl themselves headlong into love and lust.

This isn't the first time Cattrall has trod the boards over here. She previously appeared in the West End in a production of Whose Life Is It, Anyway? at the Comedy Theatre in 2005 and in David Mamet's The Cryptogram at the Donmar Warehouse in 2006.
