Sarah Silverman still loves Jimmy Kimmel

Sarah Silverman hasn’t lost faith in love just yet after revealing she still loves her ex Jimmy Kimmel “to pieces”.

In an interview with Playboy, Sarah who stars in her own show The Sarah Silverman Program reminisced on her time with Kimmel.

“I think Jimmy and I had every intention of spending the rest of our lives with each other. I love love. It’s my top priority.”

She continued: “Sometimes loving each other isn’t enough. You have to be responsible for your own happiness. You can’t stay in a relationship because you’re afraid of the unknown. But I will always love him. Sometimes I think maybe we’ll die together in our old age or something”

“We were together for so long and tried our best to make it work,” she added. “I can think of him now and don’t have that edgy feeling anymore. I just love him to pieces”.

The couple (pictured) separated in 2009, after a second try at their relationship.  Silverman is now dating Family Guy writer Alec Sulkin.

The idea of marriage also apparently repulses the comedienne:

“I’m a vegetarian, but I don’t have a problem if you want a hamburger. Marriage, to me, is like eating meat. I think it’s gross and f***ing crazy. It’s this superbarbaric, old-timey tradition that no one remembers we don’t have to do anymore.”

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn’t it.
