If, like me, your first TV crush was on a girl called Winnie, you're probably a fan of The Wonder Years. Focusing on the lives of a group of kids growing up in '60's America, the show introduced the world to Kevin Arnold, Winnie Cooper and the subject of today's Where Are They Now, Paul Pfeiffer aka actor Josh Saviano.

Born in New York in 1976, Josh made his acting debut aged 12 in the 1988 movie, The Wrong Guys, about a bumbling Scout troop. That same year, he landed the gig on The Wonder Years as Kevin Arnold's trusty sidekick and best friend, Paul Pfeiffer.

"I was all eyes and nose," said Saviano in an interview, "and so skinny I was blown backward when I walked into the wind." As geeky but lovable Paul, Josh had to pretend he was asthmatic, "They kept asking me to wheeze, but I couldn't do it."

The show ran for five years ending in 1993. Saviano's only other acting role was in the 1990 TV movie Camp Cucamonga in the role of Max Plotkin.
The film, a Summer Camp caper, also featured a young Jennifer Aniston before she got Friends.

In 2002, Josh appeared in a Wonder Years documentary which featured the whole cast looking back at their experiences making what is now regarded as a seminal TV coming of age show.

Josh has now effectively retired from the world of showbiz and since majoring in Political Science at Yale (no less), is now working as an attorney. A post on the internet movie database reports that he is currently employed by the law firm Morrison, Cohen, Singer & Weinstein.

A few years ago, Josh was embroiled in an urban myth that swept the world wide web suggesting that the ex-Wonder Years star had grown up to become Marilyn Manson. A rumour that Josh is only too pleased to quash.

"I'd get twenty emails a week," Josh said in an interview before admitting that he actually quite enjoys the reflected glory of being associated with the rocker, "What would you rather have, people thinking you're a dorky kid from The Wonder Years or a satanic rock star? It's way cooler for me."

And with that, Josh rests his case. And to be honest Josh, looking like this, we can't see any similarities to Marilyn. Or is this pre-make up?
