After being branded a flop by critics from the start, Kelsey Grammer’s sitcom Hank has been dropped by the ABC network.
After underperforming in the ratings Hank will cease filming after completion of its 10th episode.
Grammer was criticised for his character being too similar to that of Frasier and the show was blasted as being “a junky sitcom that isn’t old school so much as mould school”.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has already aired five of the half-hour shows, but has “no immediate plans” to air the remaining five.
The network will air a combination of comedy repeats and holiday specials airing in its place.
