They must be the only comedy award where X Factor judges and contestants go head-to-head – but the nominations for next year’s Loaded Laftas have been announced today.
Both Jedward and Simon Cowell with Louis Walsh have been shortlisted for best double act, alongside the more conventional comedy pairings of Adam & Joe, Armstrong & Miller and Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
Michael McIntyre leads the field, with four nominations: for Funniest Man, TV Show, DVD and Stand Up.
BBC Radio One has also landed three nominations in the new ‘Funniest Radio Sidekick’ category.
Comedy fans can log onto loaded.co.uk and cast a vote for their favourite from now until January 20.
The winners will be announced on January 27
