Hollywood stars have paid tribute to the actress Brittany Murphy, who tragically died on Sunday aged just 32.
Scrubs star Donald Faison, who worked alongside Brittany Murphy in the 1995 hit Clueless, paid tribute saying "Brittany was one of the sweetest people you will ever meet"
"She had the voice of an angel and a genuine heart of gold. I'm very happy to have known and worked with such a special person. My heart goes out to all of her loved ones."
Also paying tribute was fellow Clueless co-star Alicia Silverstone, telling People magazine in the States that "I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together."
"I feel love in my heart for her - and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad ... I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm and so sweet."
Other celebs expressed their grief on Twitter. "Never met her, but sad to hear about Brittany Murphy," tweeted writer/director Kevin Smith. "G'night, Ms. Murphy; hope you're rollin' with the homies someplace nice."
Less Than Perfect star Sara Rue wrote "Known her since we were kids. Very sad ... I'm shocked. "Hold the ones you love close today. Xoxo." writer/director James Gunn echoed. "She was a very nice girl and this is sad as hell."
Finally, Murphy's father, Florida-based Angelo Bertolotti, told The Associated Press that he is "broken up" by his daughter's death. "She was just a regular girl," he said. "[She was] an absolute doll."
Brittany Murphy, who had also made such an impact in movies like Sin City and Girl, Interrupted suffered a fatal heart attack on Sunday morning and although she was rushed to hospital, she was pronnounced dead on arrival.
