As they say, any publicity is good publicity and the proof is in the pudding as Charlie Sheen’s Christmas Day scandal has done wonders for ratings stateside for our flagship show Two and a Half Men.
The CBS show reached an all-time high on Monday night scoring a whopping 17.3 million viewers “winning in the ad-centric adult 18-49 demographic with a 5.4/13 rating and share” AHN writes. In other words it kicked the proverbial buttocks.
Sheen who plays Charlie Harper on the show spent most of Christmas Day in a cell after a fight broke out between the star and his wife Brooke Mueller after she supposedly asked for a divorce.
A recording of Mueller’s call to the police suggested Sheen threatened her with a knife. Sheen was arrested on suspicion of assault, menacing and criminal mischief and released on an $8,500 bail.
In light of the incident, clothing brand Hanes pulled a series of adverts starring Sheen and ex-basketball pro Michael Jordan.
Sheen is due to appear in court on February 8th.
Two and a Half Men Season 7 comes to Comedy Central in February!
