Cross all the streams and don your sexy brown boiler suits because Ivan Reitman has officially declared himself on-board to direct Ghostbusters 3 to MTV.
This will come as a great relief to die hard Ghostbusters fans because no one else could really bring the experience and passion for the originals to the 21st century remake like original director Ivan can.
Reitman’s last directorial outing was in the fairly average bunny-boiling superhero flick My Super Ex-Girlfriend starring Uma Thurman in 2006.
An official cast announcement for Ghostbusters 3 has not been made yet but Harold Ramis recently hinted that most of the original cast were ‘on board’ to partake in the sequel.
Steve Carell and Seth Rogen have been rumoured to star as the new breed of apparition exterminators and Sigourney Weaver last year speculated on possible storylines but Reitman responded to the rumour mill saying “I'm not going to comment on what's in the script and on what Sigourney may or may not have said.”
Reitman added that he hopes to begin filming Ghostbusters 3 next year.
