Sarah Chalke aka Scrubs’ Elliot Reed has landed the starring role in a new ABC comedy.
The Hollywood Reporter learns that Freshman is a new multi-camera pilot project from the executive producers behind How I Met Your Mother Greg Malins and Arianna Huffington.
Chalke is to play Jane, a successful, smart and funny freshmen Congresswoman who was the VP at a multi-billion dollar company when she was just 28. However when it comes to men, Jane is a “disaster waiting to happen.”
Chalke also starred in nine episodes of How I Met Your Mother, as Ted’s love interest Stella so she should feel right at home with Malins and Huffington at the helm of this new project.
Catch Sarah Chalke in Scrubs Season 8 on Comedy Central from Tuesday 23rd February.
