Frank Skinner is to front a new BBC entertainment series, a decade after a bitter split from the broadcaster in 1999.
The Independent writes that Skinner will host Frank Skinner’s Opinionated where the comedian will take on issues in the news with “his own unique perspective”.
The show will move around the country featuring two guest comedians and “most importantly, the citizens of Great Britain sharing [their] opinions on stuff in the news.”
Skinner added: “On a good week, I will probably crowd-surf”. Easy now.
Mark Linsey, the commissioning controller for BBC entertainment said: “Frank is one of the funniest faces on TV and his own individual style and unique humour is guaranteed to keep audiences laughing.”
Last week Frank appeared on the first episode of the BBC’s The Bubble which made headlines as the BBC banned its own newsreaders from appearing on its own show. You can’t write this stuff, honestly!
Frank Skinner’s Opinionated will air later in the year.
