Last night a Comedy Central worker came to Stephen K Amos’ aid after he couldn’t think of a joke to tell his audience!
The staff member who shall henceforth be named as ‘M’ came to the comedian’s aid when he began to tell a joke he already told earlier in the set!
Amos (pictured) had just completed a 78 date UK tour and had agreed to do the charity gig last minute so the poor chap was a little tired bless him - we forgive him!
‘M’ plucked up the courage to shout “Baboon!” at the comedian to the shock of a fair few audience members. Thankfully, it wasn’t a racist slur but actually one of Amos’ jokes and he managed to pick himself up and finish his set to rapturous applause.
Joining Amos at The Bedford in Balham for the long-running comedy night Banana Cabaret, was a stellar line up of stand-up acts performing a benefit in aid of Endometriosis UK.
Shappi Khorsandi, Andrew Bird and Micky Flanagan all took to the stage alongside the adorable Sarah Millican and the vocally dextrous and angry ex-German teacher John Moloney producing a line-up to be truly proud of and hopefully lots of money was raised for Endometriosis UK.
Endometriosis is a relatively unknown condition which affects the womb and effects nearly 20% of women.
