Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence has said he thinks his show will have run its course soon…in fact he’s surprised it’s lasted so long.
“In my heart and head I felt like Scrubs ended last year,” Lawrence told E! News.
Since the departure of the majority of the original cast and Zach Braff’s main character J.D. the show took on a new feel as the action shifted from Sacred Heart to a med school with Turk and Dr Cox they only recurring familiar faces present.
“This year was a bit of a spinoff, but I really liked it, I liked what they did. They worked really hard” Lawrence added.
“I’m always very honest. I say it’s a one in ten chance that it’s going to be on after the next two weeks”.
With the news that Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison taking roles in new comedy pilots, it seems doubtful there will be a tenth season of the comedy.
He also joked that he’ll continue making it whatever happens: “Scrubs is going to be on forever…We’ll come do it at our garage. For anybody that’s a huge fan, I’m still going to be doing it in my backyard at least once or twice a week, if they want to come”
If you can’t afford the airfare to Lawrence’s home wherever that may be, you can always catch Scrubs Season 8 Tuesdays at 10pm on Comedy Central.
