Austin Powers and Meet the Parents director Jay Roach is to be honoured at this year’s Just for Laughs comedy conference.
Roach will receive the Comedy Director of the Year Award at the conference which is held this July in Montreal and is attended by managers, agents, executives, film and TV producers, casting agencies and many others in the comedy business from all over the world.
Roach who is currently working on Steve Carell’s new film Dinner for Schmucks and the Meet the Fockers follow-up Little Fockers recently said he’d definitely be on board to direct Mike Myers’ fourth Austin Powers movie if it ever happens.
Dinner for Schmucks is set for release this summer and Little Fockers is due out this Christmas.
