Friday Night with Jonathan Ross could soon be a fixture on ITV’s Friday or Saturday schedule.

The Guardian writes that the presenter’s chat show may be brought back next autumn with a ‘revamped format’ on Friday night or Saturday after The X Factor.

Earlier this week reports claimed that Ross was eyeing up a £2million non-exclusive deal with ITV after negotiations with Channel 4 were shelved.

Peter Fincham, ITV’s director of television, channels and online who was responsible for luring Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley over from the BBC reportedly played a ‘key role’ in the talks with Ross.

ITV have so far declined to comment.

The final edition of Friday Night… will air on Friday 16th July with the guests yet to be announced.

However, Prince is reportedly lined up for the show and Russell Brand, Ross’ partner in crime during the Sachsgate scandal, has said he’d love to appear on the show.  Whether or not BBC bosses will allow it is another matter…
