Victoria Pile’s first comedy project since Green Wing has begun production.

BBC News writes that filming has already begun on Campus, a new series which started life last year as part of Channel 4’s Comedy Lab.

The comedy takes place on the grounds of the fictional Kirke University and stars Andy Nyman (Dead Set - pictured) who plays the ‘ruthless’ vice chancellor Jonty De Wolfe.

Nyman spoke to the BBC at the press night for his West End show Ghost Stories and said Campus “is very funny and treads a very fine line”.

Pile earned herself a Bafta award for the surreal medical comedy Green Wing and also scored two international Emmy awards for her hit sketch show Smack The Pony.

Nyman added: “It’s her vision and she has a brilliantly warped sideways sense of looking at things.

“Some of it is very odd.”

Campus should surface early 2011.
