William Shatner has criticised CBS for censoring the title of his new show S#*! My Dad Says.
Based on Justin Halpern’s Twitter account the show stars the ex-Star Trekker as Halpern’s father who spouts hilarious quotes on a daily basis.
Recent sh*t Justin’s actual dad has said on the feed: ‘Don’t focus on the one guy who hates you. You don’t go to the park and set your picnic down next to the only pile of dog shit.’
Wise words. But Shatner wishes CBS execs had the balls to say the actual word.
‘I wish they would just call it ‘S**t’’ Shatner told the New York Post.
‘What’s wrong with it?... I brought up three girls. They’ve all got kids. Okay? And you say, ‘Boopy doo-doo, you’ve got to make poo-poo. Come on. Make poo-poo in the toilet’. Eventually, ‘poo-poo’ becomes ‘s**t’. ‘Go take a s**t, and you’ll feel better’. You say that to your kids.’
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
He added: ‘The word ‘s**t’ is around us. It isn’t a terrible term. It’s a natural function. Why are we pussyfooting?’
Why indeed.
