Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has been signed a record deal with Universal to release his debut album. No, really.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that MacFarlane, who usually sings the parody songs from his shows will release an album of 1940’s and ‘50s show tunes paying tribute to Broadway classics.
MacFarlane said: ‘It’s rare in this day and age to have the opportunity to create an album that celebrates the classic, sophisticated sound of rich, lush swing orchestrations.
‘It will be an absolute joy to sing this music, and I look forward to working with the entire team at Universal Republic on what we intend to make an exceptional project.’
Whether there’ll be a cameo spot from Stewie and Brian is as yet unknown…
