30 Rock's Alec Baldwin has signed up to star in The Normal Heart, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
He will star alongside Julia Roberts and Mark Ruffalo in a big-screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning drama about the rise of HIV/AIDS in New York’s gay community in the 1980s.
The film will be directed by Ryan Murphy who co-created Glee and is also responsible for American Horror Story. It's being produced by Brad Pitt’s production company. So it’s quite a big deal.
Alec will play a lawyer coming to terms with his brother’s sexuality.
The play originally arrived off-Broadway in 1985 and was revived last year to great acclaim, winning three Tonys.
But before you get all excited, shall we revisit some classic Alec in this week's 30 Rock?
