A throwaway comment from the pop princess has subsequently become a Twitter trending topic.
It all started when Britney tweeted, ‘I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV.’
The show’s Sofia Vergara then retweeted the tweet – we can’t quite believe we’re writing this and then Britney’s manager entered the equation, saying, ‘@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?’
And so came #GetBritneyOnModernFamily with Britney finally tweeting, ‘I would love to be on it!’
No word on yet whether this will be a reality but Britters has only appeared on a couple of comedies: Glee and How I Met Your Mother.
