Remember when Charlie Sheen got fired from Two and a Half Men and then sued Chuck Lorre? Well that story found an apt time to resurface with reports suggesting the star could be close to settling the case for millions of dollars.

Sheen could be in line for a $25 million payout from Warners – he originally sued for £100 million – due to the loss of revenue from Sheen’s profit participation on the show The Hollywood Reporter writes.

Warners haven’t yet commented but THR reckons that Chuck Lorre wouldn’t have to pay anything if Charlie drops his claims.

After being fired from Two and a Half Men, Sheen found himself embroiled in a media frenzy after undertaking a bizarre string of public acts (machetes and tiger blood anyone?), odd internet broadcasts and then a national tour of America. Oh he joined Twitter as well.
