Olivia Lee has described letting the second series of her show Dirty Sexy Funny loose on the public like giving birth.
Chatting to AOL on her feelings before the second series aired earlier this week she said: ‘Excited. Nervous. Anxious. It’s a bit like giving birth. It’s a lot more fun when the project is safe and away from prying eyes. As soon as you unleash it on the general public, at any point people can turn around and say your baby’s ugly.’
This brand new series has seen a lot of the old characters cut and a whole bunch of mischief makers let loose on the British public ‘to spice it up and surprise anyone who’s seen the first series.’
She added: ‘Wearing lots of silly clothes and dressing up, that’s the best part of the job. We definitely tried to bring some [more political stuff]. It’s all very well having the dirty sexy jokes, but at some point we wanted to see where we could go with some more high-brow, relevant stuff that wasn’t just about willies and bums.’

Of the new batch of characters her favourite is Deaf Bubba: She’s an 85-year-old deaf Jewish granny with a bad tan and hair. It’s amazing what you can get away with when people think you’re an old woman. They’re much more forgiving.
‘I don’t like the prosthetics. I nearly had a panic attack the first time they put the mask on my face, because as they were sticking it on, the guy said you can’t rip this off because you'll rip your skin off. It’s frightening. But it’s well worth any discomfort. And facials are in my rider.’
