Friends' star, Jennifer Aniston has accepted boyfriend Justin Theroux's marriage proposal but was confused when no one shouted "Cut!" afterwards.

"It's very common in people who have starred in too many romcoms," said an expert. "They can no longer separate real life from real movies. It only becomes apparent when they try to leave the restaurant without paying."

A close friend told The Daily Slap that Jen expects a happy first act where the couple enjoy the glow of early love. That should be followed by doubt and a misunderstanding with a cheerleader that places the whole relationship under a cloud.

While the honeymoon preparations are far from complete, the couple plan to clarify what the cheerleader was doing in the cupboard by November. That will be followed by an emotional holiday period in which Justin will leave Jen's presents in a taxi after showing some expensive compassion to the homeless.

Christmas Eve should be tumultuous as Jen decides she never wants to see Justin again and is to become an under-sexed ice maiden-type. But, just as Santa finds his car keys, Justin will goof around in a loveable way and Jen will admit that all she too can laugh, love and have great hair.

The happy couple are hoping for a jocular sub-plot in which Jennifer's best friend gets off to a shaky start with Justin's bumbling British cousin, Louis. The chalk and cheese pair end up announcing their own engagement after a slapstick row reveals their true feelings for each other. They kiss with abandon even though they're almost entirely covered in custard pie.

This plot and many just like it will be available in the discount DVD section of your local supermarket for anything up to £2.99.
