Jk Rowling has moved on from Harry Potter.

She has moved on to a black comedy called ‘The Casual Vacancy’. The new venture by super successful Jk is describe by the Little Brown “blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising”. This is sounding slightly like a certain wizard boy’s story to us but we’ll go with it.

The story is set in a small town called ‘Pagford’ which ‘is left in shock after 40-year-old Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly. The empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes "the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen". Now it sounds like Midsummer Murders! We think becoming a multi millionaire has made ol’ Jk a little lazy with plot ideas.

We will have to wait and see if this sells anywhere near as much as the Harry Potter series, which have now sold over 450 million copies since 1997.
