BBC News writes that Depp who reprises his role in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie On Stranger Tides later this year will make an appearance in the new comedy but it’s not the first time he’s made a cameo in a British comedy.
A big fan of our humour he famously appeared in The Fast Show alongside Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse in one of the ‘Suits You’ sketches.
Gervais took a dig at Depp when he hosted the Golden Globes earlier this year saying: ‘Seems like everything this year was three-dimensional. Except the characters in The Tourist…’ so it seems there’s no hard feelings between the two.
After a successful pilot last year Life’s Too Short, described as Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Extras, begins filming in May and features Warwick Davis as the ego-driven head of a talent angry for little people.
