Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Kudrow who these days busies herself with her online show Web Therapy, said playing Phoebe enabled her to have more fun in life.
‘Thanks to Phoebe, I don’t have to worry - I can have fun,’ she said.
‘Phoebe was very far from who I was as a person. But part of her definitely rubbed off on me, inspired me to be more optimistic.’
However in Web Therapy, now a TV show, Kudrow’s therapist character Fiona Wallice who helps her patients over the Internet, couldn’t be more removed from the Friends character.
‘There’s just something about not doing what the audience expects of you,’ she continued. ‘People who think they’re pulling something off when the rest of the world can see right through them have always struck me as funny. They make me laugh a lot.’
Web Therapy has attracted numerous guest stars including Glee’s Jane Lynch, Selma Blair, Meryl Streep and Friends pal Courteney Cox.
