Mark Wright, star of Shakespeare's classic tragedy, The Only Way Is Essex, has insisted that he has been recognised by someone in Los Angeles at least once.

Wright is in California filming Mark Wright's Hollywood Nights, a show that has divided critics. Some said it was the best thing since TOWIE, while others felt the opposite – that it was the worst thing since TOWIE.

Being a man of the people, Mark has turned the tables on celebrity life. Instead of fans spotting celebrities, he keeps his eagle eyes peeled to see if he can spot a fan. Plucking up courage, he'll interrupt their meal with the hope of bagging an autograph.

Usually he's restricted to people from the UK but one night a girl who is from actual America wanted to talk to him. Having said that Americans are known to be quite friendly and will talk to anyone with a British accent. Mark thought that she may have seen him on something called the internet, where TOWIE is available globally to people interested in tans that talk.

But Mark has been awarded the ultimate Hollywood accolade. He got to play football with none other than Vinnie Jones. Jones is possibly the biggest star to ever be typecast as a cockney thug. Or at least in the top three.

Jones even invited Mark back to his Mulholland Drive mansion to play poker. It would be an honour to lose hard cash to such a thespian whose roles range from laconic hard man to mute tough guy. It proves that Mark has really arrived, at least in the sense that he's not here anymore.
