Michael McIntyre apparently brought tears to a nine-year-old’s eyes this week at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions by buzzing him off before he’d even begun his act!

At the Birmingham auditions the Got Talent Blog writes that little wannabe comedian David Knight said Harry Hill made him laugh, to which McIntyre responded ‘But I’m judging you’ and then hit his buzzer.

Teary-eyed, David said: ‘I was going to say your name next’. Awwwwkward.

McIntyre then apologised: ‘I’m sorry, it was a joke… Not one of my best,’ and actually praised the boy for his audition once he’d finished: ‘You’re naturally funny – a star in the making.’

David Hasselhoff also added: ‘You are not only the best nine-year-old comedian I have seen, you are the best comedian. You belong on that stage. I’ve never seen anyone intimidate Michael like that. I love you for it.’
