He is also shortlisted for best entertainment presenter prize though he’ll have to break Ant and Dec’s ten year run.
In the comedy stakes, Miranda, Benidorm and Outnumbered have been shortlisted for best sitcom.
Keith Lemon's Celebrity Juice is nominated for best comedy panel show against Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week and QI.
The best chat show shortlist is Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Loose Women, The Graham Norton Show and The Jonathan Ross Show.
Elsewhere, Coronation Street has four nominations including best serial drama while Doctor Who, EastEnders and Emmerdale all have three apiece. Nothing new there then.

Best drama shortlist is Doctor Who, Waterloo Road, Downton Abbey and Merlin.
The final four for best male drama performance are Doctor Who’s Matt Smith, Torchwood's John Barrowman, Doc Martin's Martin Clunes and Shameless’s David Threlfall.
While in the female category you have Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan, Waterloo Road's Jaye Jacobs, Scott & Bailey's Suranne Jones and Torchwood's Eve Myles.
For factual programme, you’ve got An Idiot Abroad, Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, This Morning and Top Gear.
Most categories in the shortlist have been whittled down from a long-list announced in September.
Polls are now open and the winners will be announced during a televised ceremony hosted by – who else? - Dermot O'Leary from the O2 Arena in London on 25th January.
