Len Lesser, best known as Uncle Leo in Seinfeld has sadly passed away aged 88 from ‘cancer-related- pneumonia’.

BBC News writes that the actor died peacefully at a rehabilitation centre in Burbank on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

His daughter Michele said on Wednesday: ‘Heaven got a great comedian and actor today.’

Aside from his role as the eccentric Uncle Leo who will always be remembered for his catchphrase ‘Jerry! Hello!’ on Seinfeld, Len had a TV and film career spanning six decades.

He appeared in many well-known TV series including ER, Bonanza, Get Smart and Kojak.

Len also regularly appeared as Ray’s father’s mate Garvin in Everybody Loves Raymond.

RIP Len.
