Stephen Merchant is in the midst of his first ever stand up tour, 'Hello Ladies' and has been talking about it and his search for love:

'I was in a relationship between 1992 and 1994 but that didn’t work out, and now I live with 17 cats. Interested?'
‘So the show is less a search for a wife, more a discussion of why I’ve failed to find a wife so far.’
