Get drunk, kidnap a monkey, wake up in Bangkok and you’ve got yourself the biggest R-rated comedy of all time – The Hangover Part II has beaten its own record.

This weekend The Hangover Part II’s takings totalled $488.7 million (£302.1 million) globally The Hollywood Reporter writes, surpassing the first film’s haul of $467.5 million (£289 million).

The film hasn’t even opened in Japan and Spain yet so expect that cash flow to rise and rise.

Meanwhile Mike Tyson’s tattoo guy is still whining about his design being ripped off with studios now apparently thinking about digitally altering Ed Helms’ face before the DVD/Blu-Ray release if the case doesn’t get resolved. Effort!
