The Hangover Part II has broken US box office records for the biggest comedy movie debut ever.

Pretty much a carbon copy of the first film (if it ain’t broke, why fix it?) The Hangover Part II was released this weekend earning an estimated $86.5 million (£52.5m) over the weekend BBC News writes, (and $137.4m for the first five days!) echoing the success of the 2009 movie.

Starring original ‘Wolfpack’ members Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha, the sequel this time finds the pissheads in Thailand for Stu’s (Helms) wedding but after one quiet drink on the beach they wake up in Bangkok with no recollection of how they got there.

Now talk has already moved to The Hangover Part III. Who’d be getting married this time? Alan...?! While not officially given the green light, director Todd Phillips has his eye on a third and final hangover for the guys:

‘The third would very much be a finale and an ending,’ he said. ‘As far as where it takes place, I’m very open like the Olympic committee to being pitched and presented cities, flown around with wine and women and bribed and then I will make my decision.’
