A rival to the Primetime Emmy Awards, these inaugural awards are being held by the same folk who vote for the Critics Choice Movie Awards and will elebrate TV shows and their stars.
Alec Baldwin and Steve Carell will compete for Best Actor in a Comedy Series among others including The Big Bang Theory Emmy winner Jim Parsons and Louis CK.
Tina Fey is in with a shot at Best Actress in a Comedy Series but so is Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) and Courteney Cox for Cougar Town.

Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), Jane Lynch (Glee), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Ty Burrell (Modern Family) are among those looking to nab a Best Supporting Actor/Actress award and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is up for Best Talk Show – albeit against Oprah, who let’s face it in her final year is sure to walk it?
Ten shows in all will vie for Best Comedy Series - 30 Rock and The Office face Glee, Community, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Archer, The Middle, Parks and Recreation and Louis.
The awards held on 20th June will be hosted by Cat Deeley, who is actually nominated herself for Best Reality Show Host but won’t be televised.
