Ricky Gervais’ bulge just got that little bit bigger. No not that bulge, eww, the bulge from his wallet because he’s just let The Office be commissioned for a Swedish remake.
A series of eight episodes of Kontoret (Swedish for ‘office’) will air on Swedish broadcaster TV4 writes Broadcast Now and will star Henrik Dorsin as their version of David Brent - Ove Sundberg.
‘With their great sense of humour, I am more than confident the Swedes will produce a cringingly excellent version for Swedish audiences to enjoy,’ BBC Worldwide’s Elin Thomas said.
The Gareth/Dwight character will be played by comedian Bjorn Gustafsson who was in 2008 voted Sweden’s funniest man.

The UK original has been told to over 170 countries and has been remade in countries such as France, Germany, Chile, Russia, Israel and of course America.
