ANGER MANAGEMENT RETURNS 30th JANUARY 10pm ON COMEDY CENTRAL

You didn’t think we’d let him go that easily did you? The inimitable Charlie Sheen returns to Comedy Central with the second series of his hit sitcom Anger Management.

Sheen stars as Charlie Goodson, a non-traditional therapist specialising in anger management with anger issues of his own. A former baseball pro, Charlie ended his career prematurely when he injured himself trying to snap a bat over his leg, and now runs a private practice helping a group of regular patients and taking on some pro bono counselling for an inmate group at a state prison.

Starring alongside Sheen are: Selma Blair (Hellboy, Cruel Intentions) as Kate, Charlie’s therapist and best friends, Shawnee Smith (Becker, Saw) as Jennifer, his ex-wife and Daniela Bobadilla (Awake) as Sam their teenager with OCD.

And so three became four...

Series One of Threesome saw our irrepressible trio Alice (Amy Huberman), Mitch (Stephen Wight) and Richie (Emun Elliott) come to terms with impending parenthood, mounting responsibility and, in the game changing climax to Series One, finally meeting the new addition to their family: Lily Owen Valentine Ennis.

And then everyone grew up and they all lived happily ever after.

Well, almost…

Alice, Mitch and Richie have put their hedonistic lifestyle behind them, and are taking their parental responsibilities completely seriously. What parent wouldn’t settle an argument using ‘spin the baby’? But it’s not all plain, sensible sailing from now on.

True, there are certain advantages to raising a baby in a threesome, such as: with three pairs of hands someone can always be taking a break. The disadvantages of raising a baby in a threesome are that, well, this is their threesome, and you can take the threesome out of the party, but you can’t take the party out of the threesome.

Having a baby has ushered in a new era of glorious chaos. Bringing up a child in a world fraught with dangers - from obsessive security guards and criminally incompetent secretaries, to predatory ex-boyfriends - is never easy at the best of times. But Alice, Mitch and Richie’s take on parenthood is somewhat… unique.

These early weeks with Lily are the start of a new adventure. How will Richie balance his career with fatherhood? How will Alice cope as a yummy mummy? How will Mitch cope at all, in general?

Two and a Half Men

It’s been a year since we saw Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher), a lovelorn Internet billionaire, attempt to drown himself in the ocean after his wife kicked him out. He stumbled into the Malibu beach house where tightly-wound chiropractor Alan Harper (Emmy winner Jon Cryer) and his slacker teenage son, Jake (Angus T. Jones), had been living with Alan’s brother for the past eight years before his untimely passing.

Walden bought the house and invited Alan to remain there, saving Alan from having to move in with his mother. Walden asked Berta, who had been working in the household, to stay as well. Despite his unsuccessful history with women, Alan found himself mentoring Walden. Walden, Alan and Jake adjusted to their new living arrangement and created a surrogate family unit to make each a better man...or at least try.

Friends, originally titled Insomnia Café (yes, really), is nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. It was nominated for 63 Emmys, has been watched by millions around the world and influenced twenty/thirty-somethings everywhere.

The show stars Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston): the fashionable one who ditched her fiancée at the altar. Monica Geller (Courteney Cox): the obsessive-compulsive one who was overweight at school. Ross Geller (David Schwimmer): the nerdy one who is secretly in love with Rachel but has a child by his lesbian wife. Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry): the funny one who has a fancy job but is useless with ladies. Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBLanc): the struggling actor one who loves food and girls. The Office

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s The Office was mooted there was uproar. In fact the world nearly ended.

But the naysayers had their undies in a twist over nothing.

Since The Office: An American Workplace premiered in the States way back in 2005 it has become one of the most beloved, well-written, and above all hilarious comedies of the decade.

Season 7 of The Office includes a case of herpes, a proposal, the much-anticipated screening of Michael’s action feature film ‘Threat Level Midnight’ and a even a guest stint from Will Ferrell!

It’s also Steve Carell’s last hurrah as living legend Michael Scott as he departs from the paper trade after seven seasons of service.

Also starring rising stars John Krasinski (Away We Go), Ed Helms (The Hangover), Rainn Wilson (The Rocker) and B.J. Novak (Inglourious Basterds) The Office will leave you smiling and satisfied.

Holy crap! South Park is already 16 seasons old! But just like Jon Bon Jovi they don't seem to have aged a day...

Over the years this consistantly brilliant show has seen Stan, Cartman, Kyle and Kenny do battle with aliens, the Japanese, dead celebrities, zombies, all major religions including World of Warcraft, Family Guy and a giant mechanical Barbra Streisand.

Not bad for a group of kids who are still at elementary school.

What the twisted minds of Matt Stone and Trey Parker will dream up for every brand new episode - shown for the first time anywhere in the UK on Comedy Central - is anyone's guess.

One thing is for sure however - our fourth graders are always guaranteed to be as foul-mouthed as ever and it’s gonna be one hell of a riot!

Hold on to you butts because the rest of South Park Season 16 is just around the corner and its back with a vengeance...

So come on down to South Park and meet some friends of ours!

Scrubs.

Scrubs is a show that indulges those every day flights of fancy through the lives of young doctors J.D (Zach Braff), Elliot (Sarah Chalke) (Carla (Judy Reyes) and Turk (Donald Faison).

While trying to find their feet in the medical profession they also have to content with senior staff members Dr Kelso (Ken Jenkins) and Dr Cox (John C McGinley).

JD in particular has it tougher than most as on top of all this he is constantly fighting off the unwanted attention from his nemesis, known only as The Janitor (Neil Flynn) because, well, he's the janitor.

Together their minds wander seamlessly through the endless possibilities of life, and together they struggle to get through their day-to-day routines and very complicated private lives...]]>

MAS*H

M*A*S*H features the lives and loves of the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital stuck in the middle of the Korean war.

Fond of practical jokes and revenge, the doctors, nurses and soldiers often find ways of making wartime life bearable.

Based on a book written by Dr Richard Hornberger as he sat waiting for patients at his offices in Maine USA, M*A*S*H details a fictional account of life with the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in Korea.

The movie rights to the book were bought for $100,000 and the film (directed by Robert Altman and starring Donald Sutherland and Elliot Gould) was released to critical acclaim in 1970.

With the movie set still available, the then president of Twentieth Century Fox, William Self, commissioned a spin-off TV series.

The last role to be cast, that of the central character Hawkeye, eventually went to Alan Alda. Legend has it that Alda was reluctant to commit to a show that could have a long run.

14 Emmy Awards and 11 series later, Alda, who won 4 Emmy awards himself, must have had no regrets. In fact, one could argue it was a great Korea move.]]>

Sex and the City

Based on author Candace Bushnell's book of the same name, Sex and the City Sarah-Jessica Parker stars as Carrie Bradshaw.

A sassy but complicated New York City journalist, Carrie's observations on romance and passion appear in a weekly newspaper column called "Sex and the City".

Finding source material for her writing is no problem. All she has to do is look at her own romantic misadventures or meet up with her three closest girlfriends for brunch to chat about what the latest men in their lives are doing to drive them crazy.

There's foxy Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), a PR guru who's racked up a fair few notches on her bedpost; soppy Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), whose romantic perfectionism often prevents her from meeting "Mr Right" and cynical Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), a high-powered corporate lawyer who remains guarded about her emotions when it comes to men.

Through their ups and downs in (and out of) the bedroom, these four friends remain each other's true soul mates, bound together by their desire to find love, but because this is Sex and the City, they make sure they have a lot of fun along the way.

Frasier is nothing short of a comedy marvel.

Having started life as a regular on the equally legendary 'Cheers', psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) uprooted and left for Seattle to be the city’s leading shrink on the radio.

It helps of course that Frasier is packed with superbly observed characters, such as younger brother and fellow psychiatrist Dr Niles Crane (David Hyde Pierce), their dad, former cop Martin (John Mahoney), his live-in help Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves), loyal radio producer Roz Doyle (Peri Gilpin) and of course Martin’s faithful Jack Russell Eddie (Moose).
