The new Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming for General Electric (!), Jack Donaghy is a slick and scrupulous character with an affinity for overtly backhanded compliments, usually directed towards Lemon.
Played by Hollywood legend Alec Baldwin, the fundamentally flawed Jack’s first priority is to run a successful business, yet it soon becomes apparent that he has often struggled in that endeavour in the past.
Alec Baldwin’s career needs no introduction. A Hollywood veteran, Baldwin has won critical acclaim for performances in film for The Aviator and The Cooler and has featured in a number of classic cinematic releases including The Hunt for Red October, The Departed and Miami Blues.
Baldwin was also nominated for a Tony award for his work in A Streetcar Named Desire in 1995.
Not to be outshined on the televisual front, Baldwin was a perennial host of Saturday Night Live and can boast a sizeable Emmy record including winning the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series twice in succession for his role as Jack Donaghy.
