King of Queens
Starring Kevin James, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller, King Of Queens is a spin off from Everybody Loves Raymond and it follows the life of Doug Heffernan (James), a Queens, New York parcel delivery man whose home is invaded by his in-laws. Doug has simple desires - among them a 70 inch screen television.
When Doug's wife, Carrie (Remini), surprises him with a large screen set, which she happily sets up in the basement, he becomes the envy of the neighbourhood. Life has suddenly become very, very good for Doug and his sports-watching buddies.
In the pilot episode, Doug's kingdom comes under attack when his recently widowed father in law, Arthur (Jerry Stiller - Frank Costanza from Seinfeld and actor Ben Stiller's dad), moves in rather than going to a retirement home, turning Doug's TV room into Arthur's bedroom. Carrie's sister, Sara (Lisa Rieffel), a wannabe actress, decides to move in as well to save more money until she gets her big break. Suddenly, Doug has a large family in a small house and a big television in a tiny bedroom!
