    Born on April 6th 1975 in New Jersey, Zach Braff graduated from Northwestern University's film program, where he also studied theatre acting while writing and directing his own short films. It is in all these areas that Zach has gone on to excel, probably more than his wildest expectations.
  • Sarah Chalke - Elliot Reid

    Elliot Reid

    Sarah was born in Ottawa, Canada on August 27th 1976, but was raised in Vancouver, the middle of the three daughters to Douglas and Angie Chalke. Her mother is originally from Rostock, Germany, while her father is a private practice lawyer in Vancouver. Her parents also run an adoption agency that specialises in placing foreign orphans with Canadian families.

    Donald Adeosun Faison was born June 22nd 1974 in New York and like co-star Sarah Chalke, Donald began acting at a very young age as an enthusiastic five-year-old attending the Children's School of Intuitive and God-Conscious Art. He went on to study theatre at the Professional Children's School.

    Neil Flynn he initially auditioned for the role of Dr. Cox (which ultimately went to John C. McGinley). When executive producer Bill Lawrence asked Neil if he would consider another part - as the nemesis of young doctor J.D. (Zach Braff), he couldn't refuse.

    Ken is a veteran of film, television and theatre. He began his acting career performing in high school stage productions in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. In 1969, Jenkins co-founded and served for three years as associate artistic director of the prestigious Actors Theatre of Louisville, where he continued to work until 1983.

    John C. McGinley was born in the creative hub of Greenwich Village, New York, and his love for acting began as an undergraduate at New York University. Beginning his career in many productions on Broadway, it wasn't long before Hollywood came knocking, appearing in films such as 'Seven,' 'Wall Street' and 'Platoon.'
  • Judy Reyes - Nurse Carla Espinosa

    Nurse Carla Espinosa

    Judy Reyes grew up in the Bronx and became interested in acting while attending Hunter College in Manhattan. In 1992, she landed her first major acting role in the independent feature film "Jack and His Friends" opposite Sam Rockwell, and went on to perform extensively in the theatre.
