Meanwhile sensitive flirt Carrie and cynical lawyer Miranda seek to find the middle ground in a city full of smug marrieds and slippery bachelors - like Carrie's new infatuation Mr. Big.

    The second season of this sexily sophisticated series sees a confused Carrie on the rebound from her on-off lover Mr. Big. Whilst Samantha continues to jumps the bones out of every man she lusts after.

    They're smart, successful and still single. Independence certainly has its advantages but these sisters aren't getting any younger. Sex-pest Samantha beds an older man because she fears the big "M" is just around the corner and Charlotte is even more desperate to find a husband; a dangerous encounter with a New York cab leads her to met Trey, who she naively snaps up as her groom before giving him a test-drive between the sheets. Miranda starts listening to the ticking of her biological clock, which inadvertently prompts her to get back together with Steve and reluctantly give him the keys to her apartment. Meanwhile, Carrie has to face up to another Big dilemma when she gets the shattering news that the self proclaimed commitment phoebe is getting married. Things start looking up for her again when hot furniture maker Aidan comes along, but as soon as she hears that Big's marriage is on the rocks she doesn't hesitate to sleep with him behind Aidan's back. Naughty girl.

    Manhattan's glossiest posse are still as fun-loving and flirtatious as ever in the fourth season of this chic comedy, but life's throwing up a whole new set of issues for them to deal with. The fertility challenged couple Trey and Charlotte desperately trying to start a family, whilst career minded Miranda is surprised to find herself pregnant with Steve's baby. Meanwhile, Samantha's sex life gets even saucier; she pursues a hot Franciscan monk she dubs 'Friar Fuck', offering her charitable PR services in a vain attempt to seduce him, and adds a lesbian fling to her sex resume. Elsewhere, Carrie struggles to juggle her feelings between two of her ex's, Big and Aidan.

    Season Five

    Season 5 sees the fabulous foursome embark on more adventures of the romantic kind. However, with the arrival of Miranda's baby boy Brady, life has some major changes in store for them. Miranda's attentions have been turned to breastfeeding, losing her baby weight and trying to be a success as both a mother and a lawyer. Newly divorced Charlotte takes a leaf out of Samantha's "sex-book" and starts having sex just for fun, which leads her into an improbable relationship with her all but classy bald Jewish lawyer, 'hairy' Harry. Samantha boldly dumps the man she's fallen in love with, Richard Wright, after he cheats on her and gets back to her usual sexploits. And, after a spate of dire dates, Carrie focuses her attentions to writing a book of her columns, which after a glamorous book launch, turns into a bestseller.

    Season Six

    The sixth and final series sees our Broadway Belles ringing in even more changes. Charlotte coverts to Judaism and marries Harry. Miranda admits she is in love with Steve and the couple decide to marry and become a real family, which involves Miranda moving to Brooklyn. Samantha's life gets turned upside down when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, she has her new love Smith Jerrod to hold her hand. Carrie gets dumped by a post-it note and begins dating Aleksandr Petrovsky, who eventually whisks her away from her loyal ladies for a new life in Paris. Carrie's departure from the Big Apple prompts the four dedicated followers of passion ponder whether the party is officially over, until Big reunites them by finally professing to Carrie that she's "the one" and brings her back where to where she belongs.
