1. Drinking alcohol
Once you do it frequently, it becomes a little bit of a chore, rather than an exciting adventure.
2. Having your own money to spend
Don’t get us wrong, it’s great, but you also have to pay rent, bills, buy your own food… At the end of the month, there’s not a lot of dosh left for you to splurge on nice things!
3. Staying up all night
The more often you do it, the more you hate yourself in the process. Your 8-year-old self wouldn’t believe us, but pulling all-nighters sucks.
4. Living on your own
No one cooks for you and you can hear the echoes of your sadness bounce off the walls as you cry into the night. What's fun about that?
5. Being able to go out whenever you like
Now you just mostly try to figure out how to stay home and avoid responsibilities.
6. Not having to go to school
But now you have to go to work and you no longer have half-terms and long holiday breaks so…
7. Sleeping in late
It’s great for the first week or so, but then? Then you feel your life slipping through your fingers and you start to panic.
8. Not having to do homework
Sure, you don’t need to study anymore, but there’s still plenty of shit for you to do around the house after you get back from work.
9. Being able to eat what you want
And then you end up eating frozen pizza for a month and get that weird sharp pain in your abdomen.
10. Having a car
In this economy? Have you seen the gas prices? We can't afford that.
11. Getting your own house
This gets pretty boring as an adult, simply because, day by day, you realise you’ll never be able to afford one.
