6 April Fools Pranks That Went Totally, Hilariously Wrong

Our guide to making sure you don't make a mess of April 1st.

If you're a fan of Comedy Central's knee-slappingly funny Impractical Jokers and Fameless Prankers, then you'll understand the appeal of a good ol' fashioned ruse or two.

And April 1st is the one day of the year that we get to pray thanks to pranks, and all get involved in the fun. Thing is, you're not an expert, and pranks are fraught with danger and potential slip-ups.

Our advice? Just learn some lessons from the poor saps below - like...

1. Don't tell your poor mum that you've picked up a drug habit

2. Don't make jokes involving hardened criminals if you're a police officer. It will never work out

3. Don't assume that your dog will put up with your bullshit

4. Don't put your love on the line for Yeezy

A little background here: the radio station has told the woman that, to win Kanye West tickets, she'll have to lie to her husband and tell him that their 9-year-old son isn't his. The snag was, her husband had to say ‘I still love you’ at the end of it. If he did, they would both get tickets to Kanye West for Valentine’s Day. You can probably guess what happened next...

5. Don't surprise people with the ol' 'cake-and-decapitated-head swap'...

6. And finally, do a better job of this. For shame Sideman W2S. For shame...
