9 Reasons To Be Completely In Love With England Right Now

Seriously, is this the best summer or WHAT?

1. Great weather

Thought our weather was drab, rainy and unexciting? NOT THIS SUMMER. We're in the midst of a heatwave the likes of which no one can remember. Every day, the sun shines, the clouds part, people smile, Kane scores. Dreamy.

2. The World Cup

It might actually be coming home, and even if it doesn't, the country has been blessed with enough wholesome memes to keep us going until Christmas. Sod that, every day is Christmas right now. Strangers are hugging and crying in the street, football is good again, LIFE IS EXCELLENT.

3. BoJo just resigned

Boris Johnson has officially given up pretending to be the Foreign Secretary. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE (unlessofcourseherunsforPrimeMinisterinwhichcasewearemovingtoRussiaseeyabye).

4. We're born party animals

Did you know, it's legal for kids over 5 years old to drink alcohol at home or on other private premises? Thank goodness they have inspirational role models to look up to, like this England fan.

5. The NHS

Thankfully, the NHS is on hand to look after your sozzled toddlers. Having just celebrated its 70th birthday, it has a workforce of around 1.3 million, making it one of the largest employers in Europe.

6. Stories like this are happening and we're not crying, you're crying

7, The Mayor of London posts things like this

During The POTUS' visit to the UK, this balloon will hover near Parliament while thousands of people protest. The biggest shade serving we have EVER seen. And it's going on a World Tour.

9, Love Island

'Nuff said.
