A Student Brought A Gamecube Game To Prom As His Date

Although unfortunately, it wasn't Ocarina of Time.

"I think that it's very memorable and I don't regret it at all."

These are the words of a man who took "Super Smash Bros. Melee" to his high school prom, instead of a real-actual-human-woman.

Chris Burwell, from California, shared pictures of himself and his date attending prom on Twitter this week, writing: "I took my one true love Melee to prom."

AND NOW WE IDOLISE HIM FOREVER MORE.

"It felt right. It was the heat of the moment," said Burwell, probably not sexily but ohgoditdoessoundsexydoesn'tit?

He said he only came up with the idea on the day of the prom itself.

"I'm not, like, a total loser, but I don't know any girls that I would take," he said.

"I had the time of my life. This was my first high school dance — I never did anything like that before."
