A Woman Found An Actual Deep Fried Rat Head In Her Chicken

She's not lovin' it.

It's that age-old food myth - a friend of a friend of a friend of an uncles' sister's friend once found a {insert dead creature here} in their McDonald's or KFC, and you should never eat there again.

But forget all that. Because now we bring you a real, bonafide story. About a deep fried rat head. A DEEP FRIED RAT HEAD.

Rosemary Thomas, a mother from New York, was with her sister, daughter and niece when she found the full head of a dead rodent in her Popeye's meal.

‘Friends and family, this is a meal Popeyes in Harlem served my daughter, my niece and sister,’ she wrote on Facebook.

‘This is clearly a rat and they have the nerve to have a 5 rating by the Department Of Health.

‘Think about all the other rat that have been served and the lasting effect this will have on my daughter, niece and sister.’

The post has been shared over 150,000 times, and an official investigation has been lodged with the city’s health department.

Popeyes spokeswoman Renee Kopowski told DNAInfo that while this sort of thing doesn't happen very often at Popeye's, when ~unusual~ items DO turn up they usually turn out to be the chicken’s organs.

OH, OK, GOOD. FINE. GREAT. THAT'S JUST DANDY. Maybe vegans aren't so annoying after all...
